Position Summary:

Our approach to debt collections allows us to counsel consumers and assist them with identifying the resolution that is in the best interest of all parties. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Obtain financial information from consumers.
  • Using tools available determine best voluntary.
  • Maintain appropriate follow-up
  • Meet or exceed objectives set by management.
  • Must achieve monthly performance goals.
  • All Debt Specialists will make between 150 – 250 calls per day working in a call center environment.
  • Ensure routes are maintained accurately and update system to ensure maximum contact with consumers.
  • Skip Tracing – tools are provided to assist in locating consumers.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures of Red Cedar Associates and our clients.

Education Requirement:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Skills/ Requirements:

  • Work 8 hour shifts consisting of three (3) days and two (2) evenings.
  • Must be able to work weekends as needed.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Collections, Sales and/or Customer Service.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to listen, persuade, negotiate and obtain resolution. Must also be able to proficiently read and write English.
  • Intermediate computer skills in one (1) or more of the following: Microsoft Excel, Internet searches and/or Social Media.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Act independently to resolve problems

  • Ability to work in a positive, collaborative manner with coworkers
  • Ability and history of maintaining confidentiality and high level of trustworthiness.
  • Ability and history of interacting well with team members and customers in a professional manner while maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • No conflicts of interest with our clients

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to sit or remain sedentary for your entire work shift (8, 9 or 10 hour shift)
  • Ability to talk and listen on a phone for your entire work shift (8, 9 or 10 hour shift)
  • Ability to type on a computer for your entire work shift (8, 9 or 10 shift)
